A fuel pressure sensor is installed to both the fuel delivery pipe with sensor assembly LH (for direct injection) and the fuel delivery pipe with sensor assembly (for port injection).
The fuel pressure sensor consists of a semiconductor which utilizes the characteristics of a silicon chip that changes its electrical resistance when pressure is applied to it. The sensor converts the fuel pressure into an electrical signal, and sends it to the ECM in an amplified form.
