SFI SYSTEM

  1. FUNCTION

    1. The ETCS-i, which provides excellent throttle control in all operating ranges, is used.

    2. The ETCS-i uses the ECM to calculate the optimal throttle valve opening angle that is appropriate for the respective driving conditions and uses a throttle control motor to control the throttle valve opening angle.

    3. The throttle position sensor employs a dual-circuit system to reinforce the fail-safe function, thereby ensuring reliability.

      ETCS-i Control
Throttle Valve Opening Angle Control Controls the throttle valve opening angle in accordance with the driving conditions based on signals from the ECM.
Idle Speed Control (ISC) Controls the fast idle speed in accordance with the engine coolant temperature, rotation fluctuation control during engine load, etc., to regularly maintain the optimal idle speed.
Dual VVT-i + ETCS-i Integrated Control Cooperatively controls the throttle valve, Dual VVT-i to achieve optimal fuel economy during normal driving. Also, controls each actuator in accordance with the driver's intentions during acceleration to achieve a high torque response.
