FUNCTION
The ETCS-i, which provides excellent throttle control in all operating ranges, is used.
The ETCS-i uses the ECM to calculate the optimal throttle valve opening angle that is appropriate for the respective driving conditions and uses a throttle control motor to control the throttle valve opening angle.
The throttle position sensor employs a dual-circuit system to reinforce the fail-safe function, thereby ensuring reliability.
| Throttle Valve Opening Angle Control | Controls the throttle valve opening angle in accordance with the driving conditions based on signals from the ECM. |
| Idle Speed Control (ISC) | Controls the fast idle speed in accordance with the engine coolant temperature, rotation fluctuation control during engine load, etc., to regularly maintain the optimal idle speed. |
| Dual VVT-i + ETCS-i Integrated Control | Cooperatively controls the throttle valve, Dual VVT-i to achieve optimal fuel economy during normal driving. Also, controls each actuator in accordance with the driver's intentions during acceleration to achieve a high torque response. |
