      Warning Light and Indicator Light Operation
      Lights Condition
      Parking Brake Warning Light
      • Comes on when the parking brake is engaged.

      • Blinks when the system does not respond to the lock/release switch operation.

      Brake Warning Light /Yellow (Minor Malfunction) Comes on when a malfunction occurs in the system.
      Brake Warning Light / Red (Malfunction) Comes on when the brake performance may decrease due to failure in the brake actuator assembly.
      Multi-information Display
      • Informs the driver that the skid control ECU has a malfunction in the system.

      • Displays the switching between the manual function and auto function.

      Master Warning Light Comes on or blinks, along with a warning message on the multi-information display, when a malfunction occurs in the system.

      "EPB Applied" When the parking brake is engaged and the vehicle speed exceeds 5 km/h (3 mph).
      "Vehicle May Roll Out. Shift to P" When the parking brake is operated and the shift lever is in any position other than P.
      "EPB Activation Incomplete" When the parking brake cannot be operated.
      "EPB Release Unavailable Depress Brake Pedal for EPB Release" When the electric parking brake switch assembly is operated without depressing the brake pedal.
      "EPB Frequently Operated Wait a Minute" When the parking brake cannot be operated temporarily for repetitive operation of lock/release switches.
      "EPB Unavailable" When the parking brake cannot be operated temporarily.
      "EPB Malfunction Visit Your Dealer" When a malfunction occurs in the system.
      "EPB Can't be Released. Close Door and Fasten Your Seatbelt" When the parking brake cannot be released.
      "EPB Automatically Applied" When the parking brake is automatically operated.
      "EPB Shift Interlock Function Activated" When auto function is turned on.
      "EPB Shift Interlock Function Deactivated" When auto function is turned off.

      Tech Tips

      The buzzer sounds when a warning message appears on the multi-information display.
