  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. The yawrate sensor and acceleration sensor are built into the airbag sensor assembly.

    2. The yawrate sensor is a capacitive type sensor that measures changes in the angular velocity of the vehicle around its vertical axis.

    3. The acceleration sensor is a capacitive type sensor that detects changes in the lateral and longitudinal velocity of the vehicle. The acceleration sensor consists of 2 sensors which are installed at 45 degree angles to the longitudinal centerline of the vehicle enable the acceleration sensor to measure acceleration in the full horizontal plane.
