    1. ERA-GLONASS System


      1. ERA-GLONASS is a telematics service* that uses Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and cellular service (telephone function).

      2. ERA-GLONASS is a service that provides emergency assistance when the vehicle is involved in an accident. After receiving an emergency call from the vehicle, depending on the situation, a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) operator contacts the police and/or an ambulance.

      3. ERA-GLONASS provides 2 types of services: Automatic Emergency Call Service and Manual Emergency Call Service.

      4. ERA-GLONASS consists mainly of the telematics transceiver, back-up battery (mobilephone battery), roof antenna assembly, manual (SOS) switch (mayday switch assembly), telephone microphone assembly and manual (SOS) switch (mayday switch assembly) indicator.

  2. PRECAUTION


    1. The type of ignition switch used on this model differs depending on the specifications of the vehicle. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section.

    2. Back-up Battery (Mobilephone Battery)


      1. The back-up battery (mobilephone battery) has a service life of not less than 3 years. When the back-up battery (mobilephone battery) needs to be replaced, the manual (SOS) switch (mayday switch assembly) indicator (red) will come on. The telematics transceiver will also store a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC).
