BRAKE SYSTEM

  1. CONSTRUCTION

    1. The vacuum warning switch assembly is composed of the diaphragm, adjustment spring, upper contact point and lower contact point.

    2. When the brake booster assembly side has sufficient vacuum, the diaphragm is pushed out downwards, and the upper contact point and lower contact point separate, turning the switch off.

    3. When the amount of vacuum on the brake booster assembly side has decreased, the diaphragm is pressed upward to its original position, and the upper contact point and lower contact point touch, turning the switch on. In this condition, the amount of vacuum is insufficient to operate the brake booster assembly, causing braking performance to be weakened, so the brake warning light illuminates to warn the driver.
