EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM


  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. On 2WD models, a thin-wall, high-cell density, ceramic type TWC is used for each exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly and a thin-wall, ceramic type TWC is used for the front exhaust pipe assembly.

    2. On AWD models, a thin-wall, high-cell density, ceramic type TWC is used for each exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly and a thin-wall, ceramic type TWC is used for the center No. 2 exhaust pipe assembly.

    3. An exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly with an integrated TWC is used. This realizes quick warm-up of the catalytic converter, helping to reduce emissions immediately after engine start.

    4. These TWCs enable improved exhaust emissions through optimized cell density and wall thickness.
