FUNCTION
The ECM turns the oil pressure switching valve assembly on and off based on the ON-OFF map in accordance with the engine coolant temperature and engine load to control the oil supplied to the piston jet (No. 1 oil nozzle sub-assembly).
At low engine coolant temperatures, fuel dilution reduction at low temperatures and improved piston temperature increase during engine start enhance fuel economy to stop oil injection from the piston jet (No. 1 oil nozzle sub-assembly).
