CHARGE LID OPENER SYSTEM


  1. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. Charger Lid Unlock


      1. When the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is brought into the detection area around the charger lid, the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) performs verification. When the charger lid lock switch is pressed after verification is complete, the electric vehicle charger assembly sends a charger lid unlock signal to the cable EV charger lock assembly. When the charge lid lock with motor assembly receives the charger lid unlock signal via the cable EV charger lock assembly, it unlocks the charger lid.

    2. Charger Lid Lock


      1. When the electric vehicle charger assembly receives a signal indicating that the charger lid is closed, if a door lock signal is received from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), a charger lid lock signal is sent to the cable EV charger lock assembly. When the charge lid lock with motor assembly receives the charger lid lock signal via the cable EV charger lock assembly, it locks the charger lid.

  2. FUNCTION


    1. The charger lid can be unlocked by performing the following procedure:


      1. Bring the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly into the detection area around the charger lid.

      2. Press the charger lid lock switch.

        Tech Tips

        If the entry and start system does not operate or verification fails, the charger lid can be unlocked by pressing the charger lid lock switch after the doors are unlocked by performing any of the following steps:


        • Press the unlock button of the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly.

        • Press the door unlock switch of the multiplex network master switch assembly.

        • Unlock the doors with the mechanical key.

    2. The charger lid can be locked by performing the following procedure:


      1. Close the charger lid.

      2. Lock the doors.

        Tech Tips

        The charger lid can be locked in the reverse order of the above steps.
