AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly Controls remote air conditioning system and air conditioning system.
    Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU
    • Sends on signal to the DC/DC converter and SMR.

    • Performs vehicle power supply control and HV power supply control.

Certification ECU (Smart Key ECU Assembly)
    • Receives the remote air conditioning system ON and OFF signals from the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly and sends them to the air conditioning amplifier assembly.

    • Sends on signal to the IG-B relay.

Electrical Vehicle Charger Assembly Sends the remote air conditioning system ON and OFF signals to the air conditioning amplifier assembly.
Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Sends the doors and hood courtesy switch signals to air conditioning amplifier assembly.
  2. SYSTEM CONTROL

    1. It is possible for the remote air conditioning system to be started when all of the following conditions are met:

      • Approximately 3 and a half minutes have elapsed after the power switch is turned off.

      • All doors are closed.

      • Hood is closed.

      • The power switch is not being pressed.

      • The alarm system is not sounding.

      • 2.5 seconds have elapsed since the power switch was pressed.

      • Park (P) is selected.

      • All doors are locked when the remote air conditioning system is started using the climate prep function.

    2. It is possible to operate the remote air conditioning system when all of the above starting conditions are met and the following condition is met:

      • The remote air conditioning button of the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is pressed once (for 0.8 seconds or more).

    3. Operation of the remote air conditioning system will be suspended if either of the following conditions are met:

      • Approximately 10 minutes have elapsed since the remote air conditioning system started.

      • The remote air conditioning button of the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is pressed twice (within 3 seconds).

      • Any condition required to start the remote air conditioning system is not met (any door is open, the hood is open, etc.)

    4. When operation of the remote air conditioning system starts, the air conditioning system judges the cycle mode (cooler mode/heater mode/defrosting mode). When heater mode is selected and the external condenser (cooler condenser assembly) is frozen, defrosting mode starts.

  3. FUNCTION

    1. By utilizing the remote air-conditioning system using the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly, the air conditioning system can be made to heat or cool the vehicle.

    2. When the remote air conditioning system is starting, the doors are locked by the wireless door lock function.
