FRONT SUSPENSION SYSTEM

  1. CONSTRUCTION

    1. A low-pressure (N2) gas sealed front shock absorber with high response type piston valve is used to achieve a high level of controllability, driving stability and ride comfort.

    2. A low friction piston band has been adopted. Low friction ensures responsiveness and both ends of the piston band are closed to stabilize the damping force when switching between compression and expansion. This ensures excellent ride comfort.

    3. A high response type piston valve provides damping force at very low shock absorber speeds. This enhances steering response and suppresses high-frequency oscillations resulting in enhanced ride comfort.

      Tech Tips

To prevent hazardous conditions, make sure to empty the gas from the front shock absorber assembly before discarding the low-pressure (N2) gas sealed in the front shock absorber assembly. For details, refer to the Repair Manual.
