    3. Parking Assist / Monitoring


      1. TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System


        1. The TOYOTA parking assist-sensor system uses ultrasonic sensors and is equipped with a beeping alarm. The system can detect obstacles at the front, rear and both sides of the vehicle, and provide information to the driver regarding the distance.

      2. Intelligent Clearance Sonar System


        1. The intelligent clearance sonar system has been newly adopted for some models.

        2. This system performs driving torque restriction control or brake control while parking or traveling at low speeds and there is an obstacle in front of or behind the vehicle in order to avoid a collision or reduce the impact of a collision.

      3. Simple Intelligent Parking Assist System


        1. The simple intelligent parking assist system has been newly adopted for some models.

        2. The system assists perpendicular parking operations, parallel parking operations or parallel parking departure operations by detecting an allowable parking space using the ultrasonic sensors and automatically operating the steering wheel.

      4. Blind Spot Monitor System


        1. The blind spot monitor system performs 2 functions using the same blind spot monitor sensors: blind spot monitor function and RCTA (Rear Crossing Traffic Alert) function.

If the RCTA function detects a vehicle approaching from the right or left at the rear of the vehicle while the driver is reversing in a parking lot, the function alerts the driver by sounding the RCTA buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer) and flashing the outer rear view mirror indicator light to provide information for the driver, supporting decision making.

      2. Combination Meter Assembly


        1. The 4.2-inch color TFT main display and 4.2-inch color TFT multi-information display are used.

      3. Headup Display


        1. A headup display is provided.

        2. Various types of information that are necessary when driving are shown on the windshield glass. As a result, the driver can confirm information with less eye movement than when looking at the combination meter.

      4. Supplemental Restraint System


        1. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) driver and front passenger airbags are used as supplements to the seat belts to help reduce the shocks to the head and chest of the driver or front passenger in the event of a frontal collision.

        2. The SRS knee airbag is used as a supplement to the seat belt to help reduce shock to the knee of the driver in the event of a frontal collision.

        3. The SRS front seat side airbags are used during a side collision to help reduce the impact to the chests of the driver and front passenger.

        4. The SRS curtain shield airbags are used in the event of a side or rear side collision to help reduce the impact to the heads of the driver, front passenger or rear passengers.

        5. The SRS seat cushion airbag (front seat cushion airbag assembly) is used as a supplement to the seat belts to prevent the front passenger from sliding forward in the event of a front impact collision.

      5. Air Conditioning System


        1. The automatic air conditioning system uses neural network control is provided.

        2. S-FLOW control is used to concentrate the air outlets on the front seats.

        3. By utilizing a heat pump air conditioning system with gas injection function, an air conditioning system with a high efficiency ratio has been realized.


          1. When outside temperatures are low, heating ability is ensured by not relying on engine coolant temperatures driving in EV mode.

          2. Efficient heating of the vehicle contributes to enhanced EV mode distance.

        4. By utilizing the remote air conditioning system remotely using the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly, the air conditioning system can be made to heat or cool the vehicle. With this, uncomfortable cabin temperatures (hot, cold) when entering the vehicle can be reduced.


          1. It is possible to provide heating as well as cooling.

          2. A dedicated power supply circuit for the remote air conditioning system is used.

    8. Lighting (Exterior)


      1. Daytime Running Light


        1. The daytime running light system is designed to automatically illuminate the Light Emitting Diode (LED) lights during the daytime to keep the vehicle highly visible to other vehicles.

      2. Light Automatic Turn-off System


        1. The light auto turn-off system is used to prevent the driver from leaving the vehicle with the headlights, front fog lights, parking lights, side marker lights, taillights or license plate lights on.

      3. Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System


        1. When the hybrid system and headlights are on, the automatic headlight beam level control system operates the headlight leveling motors in accordance with movement of the vehicle.

      4. Adaptive High Beam System (Models with Adaptive High Beam System)


        1. By using the forward recognition camera to detect the lights of preceding and oncoming vehicles and subsequently optimizing the illumination area of the headlights accordingly, visibility is enhanced and the demands on the driver is reduced as they do not need to constantly switch between high beam and low beam.
