BODY STRUCTURE

  1. CONSTRUCTION

    1. The floor silencer (coating-type vibration dampening material) has been applied at the optimal coating thickness for each area, resulting in a lightweight and extremely silent design. Due to this, the amount of road noise and engine sound penetrating into the engine compartment has been reduced.

    2. By applying foam material, vibration dampening material and sealing materials such as sponge to the side member opening portion and front header portion in an optimal way, the entry of wind noise and road noise into the passenger compartment has been suppressed.

    4. In addition to configuring the outer dash panel insulator for the motor compartment side of the dash panel sub-assembly, a passenger compartment side dash panel insulator assembly has been configured. Also, by configuring a front upper panel silencer at the top portion of the dash panel insulator assembly, a superior level of silence has been achieved.

    5. A hood insulator is provided below the hood sub-assembly and the outer dash panel insulator LH is provided below the front outer cowl top panel to suppress noise which penetrates the cabin and provide excellent quietness.

    8. An insulator with superior sound absorption effects (sound insulation material) and thinsulate (damping material) are used around the front fender liner and rear wheel house liner to suppress the sound created by flying sand and water from the wheelhouse and road noise in order to provide excellent quietness.
