AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

  1. OUTLINE

    1. An automatic air conditioning with independent left and right temperature control has been adopted as standard equipment for all vehicles.

    2. For heating, a water heater (electric heater assembly), and the heat control that uses generated heat produced from the FC system during electrical generation, are both employed, to provide improved heating performance and reduced electrical consumption.

    3. By locating a small blower unit and air duct in the center console, cool air can be blown toward the rear seats, providing increased comfort for the rear seat passengers.

  3. MAIN FEATURES

    1. The air conditioning system has the following features:

      Feature Outline
      High Performance
      • Neural network control is used, so passengers can finely control the air conditioning for maximum comfort.

      • Highly efficient heating control is realized due to FC heat related control.

      • Automatic air conditioning with independent right and left temperature control is standard.

      • A small cool air blower unit has been located in the center console, to improve comfort for rear seat passengers.

      • The blower control has 7 levels in manual mode and 31 levels in auto mode for more precise control.

      Light Weight
      • A bus connector with a built-in IC is used in a lightweight wire harness design to allow a reduced number of wires.

      • The use of this connector means that pulse pattern type servo motors can be used.

Compact A blower motor with a built-in blower motor controller is used to achieve a compact construction.
      Others

The following parts are used to ensure high cooling performance while achieving a compact and lightweight construction:

      • Semi-center Location Air Conditioning Unit

      • ES27C Type Electric Inverter Compressor

      • RS (Revolutionary Super-slim) type Evaporator

      • Straight Flow Aluminum (SFA)-II Heater Radiator Sub-assembly

      • Multi-Flow IV (MF-IV) Sub-cool Condenser
