POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION


    1. The power door lock control system has the following functions:

      Function Outline
      One-motion Open (Driver and Front Passenger) When the door is locked, this function enables the door to be unlocked by merely pulling the inside handle lever of the door.
      Manual Lock and Unlock This function can lock or unlock all the doors by the door lock switch operation.
      Key-linked Lock and Unlock This function which is linked with the door key cylinder can lock or unlock all the doors when a lock or unlock operation is performed.
      2-step Unlock This function is provided to unlock the driver door when the mechanical key is turned in the key cylinder the first time, and to unlock the remaining doors when it is turned the second time.
      Manual Unlock Prohibition When the doors are all closed and are locked using a key-linked operation or wireless key operation, unlocking the vehicle using the door control switch is prohibited.
      Key Confinement Prevention When the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is present in the interior detection area, and a door lock operation is performed while the driver door is open, all the doors will be unlocked.
      Collision Door Lock Release If the SRS airbag system has been activated, and the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) has detected the activation signal output by the airbag sensor assembly, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) unlocks all the doors.
      Shift-linked Automatic Door Lock

      When the conditions listed below are met consecutively, this function causes all the doors to be automatically locked.


      • The power switch is changed from off or on (ACC) to on (READY).

      • All doors are closed.

      • R, N or D is selected.

      • Any one of the doors is in an unlocked state.
      Shift-linked Automatic Door Unlock When the power switch is on (READY), and the P position switch is pressed, all the doors will be automatically unlocked.
      Speed-sensitive Automatic Door Lock

      When all of the following conditions are met, this function causes all the doors to be automatically locked:


      • Vehicle speed is higher than approximately 20 km/h (12 mph).

      • All doors are closed.

      • Any of the doors is unlocked.
      Driver Door Opening-linked Automatic Door Unlock All the doors are unlocked automatically when the driver door is opened within approximately 43 seconds of the power switch being turned from on (IG) to off.
      Customization The on or off setting of some functions and settings can be performed using the Techstream or multi-display assembly. In addition, some functions are not available depending on the specification. For details, refer to the Repair Manual.
