FRONT SUSPENSION SYSTEM


  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. A separate input construction type front suspension support sub-assembly is used.

    2. A front spring bumper made from urethane is used, with a nonlinear characteristic that is soft at the beginning of contact, achieving both roll stiffness when turning as well as a supple riding quality.

    3. A pigtail type of front coil spring is used where the top and bottom diameters are different, creating a compact and lightweight construction. Lateral force reduction springs are used to control the reaction force line of the front coil spring, and reduce the bending force applied to the front shock absorber assembly. This reduces suspension friction, realizing a very comfortable ride.

      1. Input Separating Construction


        • When the vehicle is being driven, the input from the tires is transferred through the front shock absorber assembly, front spring bumper and front coil spring, and into the body.

        • In the input separating construction, the input from the front shock absorber assembly / front spring bumper is passed through the rubber portion of the front suspension support sub-assembly and output to the body. Also, the input from the front coil spring is passed through the strut mounting bearing and output to the body.

        • By separating and stopping the input from the front shock absorber assembly / front spring bumper and the input from the front coil spring, a superior level of silence and riding quality have been realized.

        • By optimizing the characteristics of the front suspension support sub-assembly, a superior riding quality and level of silence have been realized.
