ELECTRONIC SHIFT LEVER SYSTEM


  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. The shift lever position sensor (transmission instrument panel shift assembly) is composed of the select sensor that detects the horizontal movement of the shift lever, and the shift sensor that detects the vertical movement. Based on the shift lever operations, it outputs signals to the EV control ECU.

    2. Based on the combination of signals from the select sensor and shift sensor, the EV control ECU detects the shift lever R/N/D position and the Br mode.

    3. The select sensor uses 2 MR-ICs to output a main signal and sub signal, providing a redundant sensor with a high level of reliability.

    4. The shift sensor uses 2 Hall ICs to output a main signal and sub signal, providing a redundant sensor with a high level of reliability.
