The EV battery current sensor is installed to the high-voltage cable inside the EV battery assembly to detect current flow. The sensor sends a voltage signal to the battery voltage sensor. This signal changes between 0.5 and 4.5 V in proportion to changes in the current flowing to or from the EV battery assembly. A signal voltage of less than 2.5 V means the EV battery assembly is being charged, and a voltage of more than 2.5 V means the EV battery assembly is being discharged.
