CONSTRUCTION
The motor reduction mechanism, by the working of the reduction planetary gear, reduces the speed of the traction motor and amplifies the torque, allowing the size and weight of the traction motor to be reduced while providing high output and high torque.
Located on the secondary shaft, the counter driven gear and the final drive gear reduce the speed of the drive output from the planetary gear.
For the gear pairs, the tooth contact ratios were improved and tooth surfaces were optimized to achieve excellent level of silence. Also, by optimizing the position of the final gear, the distance between the main shaft and differential shaft was reduced, realizing a more compact transaxle.
For the differential mechanism, a 2 pinion type is used.
