  1. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. The EGR system carries out the following controls:


      1. The ECM actuates the electric EGR control valve assembly, which regulates the volume of EGR gas recirculation, in accordance with the engine condition.

      2. The ECM switches the bypass passage of the No. 1 EGR cooler via the No. 2 EGR valve assembly in 2 stages in order to optimize the temperature of the EGR gas and clean exhaust gases.*
