ENGINE UNIT

  1. CONSTRUCTION

    1. A crankshaft made of forged steel, which excels in rigidity and wear resistance, is used.

    2. The crankshaft has 5 journals and 8 balance weights.

    3. All pin and journal fillets are roll-finished to maintain adequate strength.

    4. The crankshaft main bearing is made of aluminum alloy.

    5. Similar to the connecting rod bearings, the lining surface of the crankshaft main bearings has been micro-grooved and overlaid with plastic to achieve an optimal amount of oil clearance. As a result, cold-engine cranking performance has been improved and engine vibrations have been reduced.

    6. The upper main bearing has an oil groove around its inside circumference.
