  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. The camshafts are made of cast iron alloy.

    2. In conjunction with the use of the Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (VVT-i) system, oil passages are provided in the intake camshafts in order to supply engine oil to the VVT-i system.

    3. VVT-i controllers have been installed on the front of the intake camshafts to vary the timing of the intake valves.

    4. To detect the intake camshaft position, timing rotors are provided in front of the VVT-i controllers. These timing rotors are used by the cam position sensor to detect the actual position of the intake camshaft.
