1GD-FTV High Version Engine
The 1GD-FTV TOYOTA Direct injection 4 stroke common-rail Diesel engine (D-4D) is an in-line 4-cylinder, 2.8-liter, 16-valve DOHC, turbocharged diesel engine. This engine uses the direct injection system and common-rail system to achieve high performance, clean emissions, low noise and low vibrations.
An intercooler is provided. This lowers the intake air temperature and improves power output.

1GR-FE Engine
The 1GR-FE engine is a V-type, 6-cylinder, 4.0-liter, 24-valve DOHC engine.
On this engine, the Electronic Throttle Control System-intelligent (ETCS-i), Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (VVT-i) and Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS) are used. These control functions have been optimized to further improve engine performance and fuel economy, and reduce exhaust emissions.
This engine has been made compact and lightweight through the use of an aluminum cylinder block and a plastic type intake air surge tank, fuel delivery pipe and water inlet pipe.

The 2TR-FE engine is an in-line 4-cylinder, 2.7-liter, 16-valve DOHC engine.

5L-E Engine
The 5L-E engine is an in-line 4-cylinder, 3.0-liter, 8-valve OHC diesel engine. In addition, an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system is used to achieve cleaner emissions.

Suspension
A double-wishbone type independent suspension is used for the front suspension.
A 4-link coil spring with lateral control rod type rigid axle suspension is used for the rear suspension.
Brake
A ventilated disc brake is provided for the front brake.
A leading-trailing drum brake and ventilated disc brake are provided for the rear brake.
A brake control system equipped with an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), brake assist, Traction Control (TRC), Active Traction Control (A-TRC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), trailer sway control, hill-start assist control and downhill assist control are provided.
Steering
A rack and pinion type steering gear is used.
A hydraulic power steering is used.
A manual tilt and telescopic mechanism is used.
