LIGHTING SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Body ECU Receives various signals and turns off the exterior lights.

    Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly


    • Light Control Switch

    Outputs a light control switch position signal to the body ECU.
    Front Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly (RH) Detects whether a door is open or closed and transmits a signal to the body ECU.
    H-LP Relay/DIMMER Relay Shuts down power to the headlights.
    TAIL Relay Shuts down power to the taillights, clearance lights and license plate lights.
    FOG FR Relay*1 Shuts down power to the front fog lights.
    Fog RR Relay*2 Shuts down power to the rear fog light.

    *1: Models with front fog light

    *2: Models with rear fog light

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. The light auto turn-off system operates as follows:

      Function Operation Condition
      Driver Door-linked

      When both of the following conditions are met, the exterior lights automatically turn off:


      • The ignition switch is turned to ACC or off.

      • The driver door is closed and then opened.

      • The headlight dimmer switch assembly (light control switch) is in the AUTO position, TAIL position or HEAD position.

      Follow Me Home

      When approx. 30 seconds elapse after all of the following conditions are met, the headlights turn off:


      • The ignition switch is turned off.

      • All doors are closed.

      • The headlight dimmer switch assembly (light control switch) is in the PASS position, then neutral position.
