CONSTRUCTION
A door control battery is provided, which supplies power to the door lock control system when the battery is damaged due to a collision.
OPERATION
The door control battery charges completely within approximately 90 seconds after the ignition switch is turned ON. Also, the battery finishes discharging through self-discharge approximately 30 minutes after the ignition switch is turned off.
The charged door control battery is used as a redundant power supply to supply power to the body ECU and door lock/unlock relay in order to enable the impact detection door lock release even when the battery becomes disconnected due to a collision.
Even when the door control battery is not charged (the ignition switch is off), the door control battery always supplies power to the body ECU and door lock/unlock relay.
