    1. Warning indication by the intelligent clearance sonar system


      1. When the intelligent clearance sonar system is malfunctioning or unavailable, the clearance warning ECU assembly sends information to the combination meter assembly to display a warning message on the multi-information display, blink the ICS OFF indicator light and sound a buzzer to indicate to the driver that the intelligent clearance sonar system is currently unavailable.

        		 This message appears when the driving support ECU assembly detects a system malfunction. Flashes Illuminates Sound once
        ICS Unavailable

        This message appears when the clearance warning ECU assembly determines either of the following conditions is present:


        • Foreign matter such as ice, snow or mud is attached to the ultrasonic sensors.

        • The clearance warning ECU assembly does not receive the shift position signal.

        After these conditions have been resolved, the system will operate normally.
