The brake booster pump assembly consists of a pump, pump motor and accumulator.
A plunger type pump which is operated by an electric pump is used. An eccentric cam which is rotated by the motor reciprocates the plunger to supply pressurized brake fluid to the accumulator.
The accumulator accumulates brake fluid pumped by the pump motor and utilizes sealed-in nitrogen gas and a metal bellows to ensure sufficient accumulator volume.
