SHIFT LOCK SYSTEM


  1. OUTLINE


    1. To prevent accidental operation of the shift lever, a shift lock system has been adopted.

    2. In consideration of emergency situations, a shift lock release button is provided inside the shift lever assembly (shift lock control unit assembly) and allows the shift lock to be manually unlocked when moving the vehicle such as by towing.

    3. The shift lock system prevents the engine switch from being turned off when the shift lever is not in P, and warns the driver that the shift lever is not in P or the engine switch not turned off when the driver door is opened.
