  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. An aluminum die-cast timing chain cover assembly is used.

    2. The timing chain cover assembly has an integrated construction that includes the oil pump assembly and engine water pump assembly. Thus, the number of parts has been reduced, resulting in a weight reduction.

    3. The timing chain cover assembly has a structure which allows the installation of a cam timing oil control solenoid assembly for VVT-iW control and VVT-i control.

    4. The timing chain cover assembly is installed with the reinforced ribs on the backside facing downward to achieve quietness.

    5. The reinforced ribs have been optimally placed while the thickness of the timing chain cover assembly has been reduced to achieve weight reduction and quietness.
