LIGHTING SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Headlight Assembly LH Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH Shuts down power to the headlights and clearance lights.
    Headlight Assembly RH Headlight ECU Sub-assembly RH
    Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Receives various signals and turns off the exterior lights.
    Brake Actuator Assembly Skid Control ECU Transmits the vehicle speed signal to the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.
    Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly Light Control Switch Outputs a light control signal and transmits it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly Detects whether a door is open or closed and transmits a signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Headlight ECU Relay Shuts down power to the headlights and clearance lights.
    Front Fog Light Relay Shuts down power to the front fog lights.
    Taillight Relay Shuts down power to the taillights and license plate lights.

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. The light auto turn-off system operates as follows:

      Models for Russia
      Function Operation Condition
      Headlight or Front Fog Light Auto Turn-off

      When all of the following conditions are met, the headlights or front fog lights automatically turn off:


      • The engine switch is turned off.*

      • The headlight dimmer switch is in the tail or head position.

      • The front fog light switch is on.
      Exterior Light Auto Turn-off

      When both of the following conditions are met, the exterior lights automatically turn off:


      • The engine switch is turned off.

      • The headlight dimmer switch is in the AUTO position.

      • *: When the engine switch is turned off by pressing and holding it for 2 seconds or pressing it 3 times while the vehicle is running, the lights will not turn off until the vehicle stops.

      Function Operation Condition
      Door-linked

      When both of the following conditions are met, the exterior lights automatically turn off:


      • The engine switch is turned to ACC or off.

      • Any door* is closed and then opened.

      • *: Except the back door.
