Back Door Rapid Closing Prevention Control
Immediately after being fully opened by an open operation, if the back door cannot stay open and begins to close because of its own weight or other reasons, the door brake will be applied, reducing the door speed.
Approximately 3 seconds after the back door rapid closing prevention control starts, the power back door warning buzzer sounds continuously.
When any one of the following conditions is met (1 to 4), the power back door warning buzzer will stop sounding.
1. Latch switch is off
2. It is detected that the back door operation moving in the close direction has stopped.
3. It is detected that the back door operation moving in the open direction has stopped.
4. Approximately 30 seconds elapse after control starts.

FUNCTION
| Function | Outline |
|---|---|
| Open Function | When the power back door ECU receives an on signal from the power back door switch, back door opener switch assembly or power back door button (electrical key transmitter sub-assembly)with the back door unlocked, the power back door ECU operates the back door closer motor and back door motor to release the back door latch and open the back door. |
| Close Function | When the power back door ECU receives an on signal from the power back door switch, the back door control switch with the back door open or the power back door button (electrical key transmitter sub-assembly), the power back door ECU operates the back door drive unit and back door closer motor to close the back door and back door lock latch. |
| Reverse Function | By operating either the power back door switch , back door control switch or power back door button (electrical key transmitter sub-assembly) during opener or closer function operation, this function reverses the operating direction of the door. |
| Power Back Door Jam Protection Function | When an overload occurs in the back door or a jam is detected during an automatic open or close operation, this function reverses the operating direction of the door. |
FAIL-SAFE
When the power back door ECU detects a malfunction in parts such as a motor or sensor, the system enters fail-safe mode. Refer to the Repair Manual for details.
