CONSTRUCTION
This fuel lid interlock has a stopper mechanism that limits the amount of the movement of the left side slide door to prevent the left side slide door from interfering with the fuel lid when the fuel lid is opened for fueling.
When the fuel lid is opened, the pin that remained under tension in the lid pops out, causing the cable that is attached to the control lever to pull. This movement causes the fuel lid courtesy switch to turn on, and an open detection signal to be transmitted to the slide door ECU. The slide door ECU will not start an open operation when this switch is activated by an open fuel lid.
Pulling the cable causes the stopper lever that is provided in the center of the lower roller guide to rise.
At this time, if the left side slide door is opened, the stopper lever blocks the movement of the slide door lower roller before the slide door could come into contact with the fuel lid. As a result, the slide door is prevented from contacting the fuel lid.
