A slide door motor unit, which is a single part that consists of a door step and slide door drive system parts such as a power slide door motor and slide door ECU, etc., is used.
The slide door motor rotates the belt through a main pulley.
The belt and slide door are attached with an arm bracket, so that when the belt rotates, the slide door opens or closes.

Slide Door Actuator Assembly
The slide door actuator assembly consists of a power slide door motor, magnetic clutch, pulse sensor (door sensor) and slide door ECU. The pulse sensor (door sensor) detects the position of a magnet that is provided outside of the magnetic clutch in the form of pulse signals and outputs these signals to the slide door ECU. This enables the slide door ECU to detect the opening and closing speed, position, and the opening and closing direction of the slide door.

Pulse Sensor (Door Sensor)
The slide door ECU detects changes in the speed of the power slide door motor using the intervals of the pulse signal output from pulse sensor (door sensor) 1. In doing so, the ECU detects the slide door movement speed and changes in the movement speed. This allows the ECU to detect whether an overload has been applied to the slide door.

The slide door ECU detects the amount of slide door movement by counting 1 period of the pulse signal sent from pulse sensor (door sensor) 1. Varying HI and LO periods of the pulse signal are detected depending on the rotational direction of the power slide door motor output by pulse sensor (door sensor) 2. This allows the movement direction of the slide door to be detected, and by storing these values the current position of the slide door can be recognized.
