  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function

    Front Wiper Deicer Switch (Outer Mirror Heater Switch Assembly)


    • Indicator Light

    • Inputs the front wiper deicer system operation signal to the air conditioning amplifier assembly.

    • Illuminates to inform the driver when the front wiper deicer system is active.
    Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly Operates and controls the front wiper deicer system in accordance with the signals from the front wiper deicer switch.

    Engine Room Relay Block LH


    • Deicer Relay

    		 Applies electrical current to the front wiper deicer wire by controlling the air conditioning amplifier assembly.
    Front Wiper Deicer Wire Receives current from the deicer relay to help reduce the formation of ice on the windshield glass where the front wipers park.

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. When the engine switch is turned on (IG) and the front wiper deicer switch is pushed, this system is activated to keep the deicer heater on for approximately 15 minutes.
