  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Item Function
    Spot Light Assembly LH/RH Rear Personal Light Switch

    • Illuminates and turns off the rear personal light, and switches the dimmer level.

    • Light adjustment can be set to one of 3 levels of brightness.
    Room Light Control Relay Receives signals from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), rear personal light switch, etc., and controls the rear personal light control.
    Combination Meter Assembly Multi-information Display Turns off the rear personal lights and turns on lounge mode based upon operation of the steering pad switch.
    Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Sends illumination/turn off request signals for the rear personal lights to the room light control relay based on information regarding whether the doors are locked or unlocked, open or closed, and whether the engine is started.

  2. FUNCTION


    1. Rear Personal Light Switch Switching Function


      1. The dimmer level*1 can be set to one of 3 levels excluding 0 % (turned off)*2 by operating the rear personal light switch of each seat.

        Tech Tips

        *1: The initial setting for the dimmer level is 0% (turned off). Also, when the auxiliary battery is removed, the dimmer level will return to the initial setting.

        *2: The dimmer level can be changed to 100%, 50%, 20% and 0% (turned off).

    2. Vehicle-linked Function


      1. When the dome light switch is set to door-linked, the lights illuminate and turn off when the doors are locked and unlocked, opened and closed, and when the engine switch is turned on (IG) and off.

    3. Combination Meter Assembly Operation Switching Function


      1. Using the combination meter assembly, all rear personal lights can be turned off and lounge mode can be entered.

    4. Dome Light Switch On-linked Function


      1. When the dome light switch is turned on, all the rear personal lights illuminate.

      *1: Briefly pressing the rear personal light switch means pressing and releasing within less than 0.8 seconds, while pressing and holding the switch means continuing to press for 0.8 seconds or more.

      *2: The following cycle repeats: Illuminates (100%) → Illuminates (50%) → Illuminates (20%) → Turns off (0%) → Illuminates (100%).

      *3: Illuminates at the stored dimmer level.

      *4: When the dome light switch is on, illumination continues at a 100% dimmer level.

      *5: Even when the dome light switch is off, the rear personal light that was turned on through the rear personal light switch does not turn off.

    6. Battery Saving Control

      Tech Tips

      *1: The room light control relay cumulatively counts approximately 25 minutes depending on the vehicle condition. Therefore, battery saving control may not operate even after approximately 25 minutes have elapsed. Also, the lights may turn off before approximately 25 minutes have elapsed due to battery saving control performed by the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

      *2: While the ceiling illumination lights are turned off due to battery saving control, the ceiling illumination lights cannot be illuminated by operating the dimmer switch.
