LIGHTING SYSTEM


  1. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. The control functions of the illuminated entry system include room light control, battery saving control, etc.

    2. Centered around the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) positioned inside the instrument panel, the illuminated entry system performs control based on the input and output of necessary information from connected ECUs via CAN communication.

  2. FUNCTION


    1. Room Light Control

      No. Vehicle Status Status of Each Light*
      1 With the engine switch off, the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is determined to be outside the vehicle. Illuminates (fades in) → Turns off after approximately 15 seconds (fades out)
      2 After all the doors are closed and locked with the engine switch off, any door is unlocked. Illuminates (fades in) → Turns off after approximately 15 seconds (fades out)
      3 Any door is opened, regardless of the state of the engine switch. Illuminates (fades in)
      4 From the condition described above in No. 3, all the doors are closed with the engine switch off. Illuminates (fades in) → Turns off (fades out)
      5 From the condition described above in No. 3, all the doors are closed with the engine switch on (IG). Illuminates (fades in) → Turns off after approximately 15 seconds (fades out)
      6 The engine switch is turned from on (IG) to off. Illuminates (fades in) → Turns off after approximately 15 seconds (fades out)
      7 From the condition described above in No. 6, the engine switch is turned on (IG) within approximately 15 seconds. Illuminates → Turns off (fades out)
      8 With each light illuminated, all the doors are locked within approximately 15 seconds. Illuminates → Turns off (fades out)

      *: "Each light" refers to the dome light and engine switch illumination. However, the engine switch illumination only illuminates or turns off.

    2. Front Footwell Light Control

      1 After all the doors are closed and locked with the engine switch off, any door is unlocked. Illuminates (fades in) → Turns off after approximately 15 seconds (fades out)
      2 With the shift lever in P, the engine switch is turned on (IG). Illuminates (fades in)
      3 From the condition described above in No. 2, the shift lever is moved out of P. Illuminates → Dims
      4 From the condition described above in No. 3, the shift lever is moved to P. Dims → Illuminates
      5 From the condition described above in No. 4, the engine switch is turned off. Turns off after approximately 15 seconds (fades out)
      6 After all the doors are closed with the engine switch off, any door is opened. Illuminates (fades in)
      7 From the condition described above in No. 6, all the doors are closed. Turns off after approximately 15 seconds (fades out)
      8 From the condition described above in No. 6, all the doors are locked. Turns off (fades out)

    3. Down Light Control


      1. Regardless of the state of the engine switch, the down light illuminates when the taillight is turned on, and turns off when the taillight is turned off.

    4. Battery Saving Control

      1 With the engine switch off, any door is opened. Illuminates (fades in)
      2 From the condition described above in No. 1, approximately 20 minutes have elapsed. Turns off (fades out)
      3 From the condition described above in No. 2, the engine switch is turned on (ACC) or on (IG). Illuminates (fades in)
      4 From the condition described above in No. 3, the engine switch is turned off. After illuminating for approximately 20 minutes, turns off (fades out)
      5 After each light is turned off due to battery saving control, all open doors are closed and any door is opened again. After approximately 20 minutes elapse since illuminating (fading in), turns off (fades out)

    5. Battery Saving Control (for Reading Light)

      1 With the engine switch off, the reading light is illuminated. Illuminates (fades in) → After approximately 20 minutes, turns off (fades out)
      2 With the reading light illuminated, the engine switch is turned from on (ACC) or on (IG) to off. Illuminates → After approximately 20 minutes, turns off (fades out)

    6. Interior Light Auto Cut Function


      1. The interior light auto cut system operates as follows:


        • When any light switch is on for 20 minutes and no changes occur, the corresponding interior light such as the front room lights, vanity lights, ceiling illumination lights, rear No. 1 personal lights, rear No. 2 personal lights, No. 1 room light, No. 1 luggage compartment lights, front foot lights and front door courtesy lights will turn off.
