    1. A battery temperature sensor is built into the battery current sensor assembly.

    2. The ability of a battery to receive current varies with the battery fluid temperature. By receiving signals of the detected battery fluid temperature, the ECM determines if the conditions for constant voltage generation mode are met and the voltage value for constant voltage generation mode.
