    2. Audio Head Unit


      1. A Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (TFT LCD) is used for the multi-display of the radio and display receiver assembly*1 or navigation receiver assembly*2. The multi-display shows the audio screen, Bluetooth hands-free screen, vehicle information screen, etc. and can be operated using touch operation, flick operation or drag operation.*3

      2. The radio text broadcast by FM radio stations is displayed in the radio text area, such as program information and currently broadcasted song information.(Destination Package for Russia and Taiwan)

      3. The audio source can be switched on the audio source selection screen. The arrangement of the audio sources displayed on the audio source screen can be changed according to the frequency of use. (Destination Package for China)

      4. Discs containing MPEG audio layer-3 (MP3) files, Windows Media Audio (WMA) files and Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) files can be played.

      6. Connected Services Mode (Destination Package for General Countries*1)


        • A MirrorLink function is provided. This function enables the user to operate their smartphone (MirrorLink compatible device) using the multi-display by connecting the phone to the system via a USB cable.*2

        • A connected services for iPhone is provided. If a compatible application is installed on user's Apple product*3, which is connected to the system via an exclusive cable, the user can operate the application on the multi-display.*4

        • Smart G-BOOK is supported. By connecting a smartphone in which the Smart G-BOOK application is installed, the user can operate the Smart G-BOOK on the multi-display.*4

        • By operating the applications, which are preinstalled to the radio and display receiver assembly, with on-screen commands on the multi-display, functions such as the e-mail function and MirrorLink function can be used.

        • By downloading new applications from the Toyota portal site and installing them to the radio and display receiver assembly, more functions will be available. (Models with Multimedia System (with Navigation ECU))

    3. USB/AUX Port (Models with Multimedia System and Navigation System)


      1. A single USB port is provided that enables operation of a USB memory device, portable audio player (USB type), iPhone, iPod classic, iPod, iPod nano or iPod touch.

      2. By plugging a USB hub into the USB port, up to 2 of the following items can be used at once: USB memory stick, portable audio player (USB type) or Apple product. *: Except destination Package for Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei and Philippines.

      3. The USB system enables playback of video data stored on a USB memory device and the display of photo data. (Destination package for General Countries)

      4. Videos stored on a video capable device such as an iPod or VTR, can be displayed on the multi-display by connecting the video capable device to the AUX port using a dedicated 4-pole AUX cable.

        • Even if 3 or more USB devices are connected using a USB hub, only the first 2 connected USB devices will be recognized. (Models with Display Audio System or Navigation System)

        • In order to display video from an iPod, it is necessary to connect the iPod to the USB and AUX ports using a dedicated iPod video cable and dedicated 4-pole AUX cable and select the item indicating an external video device at the audio setting screen.

        • Depending on the specifications of the 4-pole AUX cable used for connecting a video cable device such as an iPod or VTR, the video function may not operate correctly. Use a dedicated 4-pole AUX cable when using the video function.

    5. Bluetooth Hands-free System


      1. The Bluetooth hands-free system allows the user to make or receive a call without taking their hands off the steering wheel when the system is linked with a Bluetooth-compatible cellular phone.

      3. When a Bluetooth phone is connected to the audio head unit, e-mails and Short Message Service (SMS) messages received on the phone can be displayed or read out. In addition, it is possible to reply to the received e-mail and Short Message Service (SMS) messages. (Messages may not be displayed depending on the message service or profile that the connected Bluetooth phone supports.)

      4. Wi-Fi Communication (Destination package for China)


        • A wireless LAN antenna is integrated into the radio and display receiver assembly, enabling Wi-Fi communication to a user's tethering-compatible cellular phone or mobile Wi-Fi router.

        Tech Tips

        Wi-Fi communication may be unavailable depending on the vehicle conditions, condition of the surroundings such as radio wave conditions around the radio and display receiver assembly, the distance to the device or device conditions. Additionally, during Wi-Fi communication, communication may be cut or become unstable due to the conditions described above.

    6. Status Display (Models with Multimedia System or Navigation System)


      1. The user can confirm the Wi-Fi* and Bluetooth connection statuses, signal strength and remaining battery level of the cellular phone, which is connected by Bluetooth, using the status bar displayed on the screen. The status bar is displayed in any mode.

    7. Voice Recognition Search System (Destination package for China, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei and Philippines.)


      1. Due to the Grapheme to Phoneme (G2P) function of converting sounds into text, songs on an iPod, iPod nano, iPod classic, iPod touch or iPhone device can be searched for by saying an artist name, album name, title or playlist name.

    8. Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL)


      1. The Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL) function automatically adjusts the sound volume in order to enable clear audio quality even when vehicle noise increases (as vehicle noise increases, the volume is turned up, etc.).

      2. Vehicle speed signals are received from the combination meter assembly and used for ASL control.

    9. Rear Seat Entertainment System (Models with Rear Seat Entertainment System)


      1. The Rear Seat Entertainment System (RSES) displays visual images on the television display assembly installed on the ceiling, in a position easily visible to passengers in the rear seats.

      2. The rear seat entertainment system outputs sound via the speakers or headphones.*

    10. Steering Pad Switch


      1. Switches that the driver often uses are provided on the steering wheel for convenience.

    11. Multi-information Display


      1. Switching the audio source modes, selecting radio stations or audio tracks, etc. can be performed by operating the multi-information display on the combination meter assembly.

    12. "GreenEdge" Speakers (Models with 17-speaker System)


      1. "GreenEdge" speakers that efficiently convert electricity to sound with less sound corruption have been adopted. These speakers realize high sound pressure levels with low power consumption while still maintaining superb sound quality.

      2. Due to the adoption of acoustic lenses, the directionality of the speaker output is improved, enhancing the area where the acoustics are effective.

    13. Class H Amplifier (Models with Multimedia System (with Navigation ECU) or Navigation System)


      1. A Class H amplifier is provided for the 17-speaker system. The amplifier controls the power supplied to the amplifier circuit in the most efficient way according to the received audio signals.

      2. The power consumption and heat generation of the Class H amplifier is small, minimizing the size of the heatsink and related parts. This realizes a compact and lightweight amplifier.

      2. After a connection is established, the screen of the smartphone is displayed on the multi-display. Using this screen, the user can operate applications installed on the smartphone and listen to the audio of the smartphone via the vehicles speakers.

    2. Smart G-BOOK (Destination package for Thailand.)


      1. Smart G-BOOK is a service that uses an exclusive smartphone*1 application to offer a variety of information and provide an easy, secure, safe and convenient vehicle ownership experience.

      2. By using Smart G-BOOK, users can utilize contents such as a navigation service, operator service and traffic information.

      4. If the user connects their Apple product*2 or Android phone, in which the Smart G-BOOK application is installed, to the navigation receiver assembly*3, and displays Smart G-BOOK on the product or phone, the Smart G-BOOK screen is displayed on the multi-display, allowing the user to operate Smart G-BOOK using the multi-display.*4

        MirrorLink*2 To utilize the MirrorLink function, it is necessary to connect a compatible smartphone*7 to the radio and display receiver assembly using a USB cable. After a connection is established, the screen of the smartphone is displayed on the multi-display. Using this screen, the user can operate applications installed on the smartphone and listen to the audio of the smartphone via the vehicles speakers.
        Toyota Eurocare*1 With a Bluetooth phone connected to the radio and display receiver assembly, a call*8 to Toyota Eurocare can be made. Upon receiving the information from the GPS satellite, the vehicle's current location is displayed on the Toyota Eurocare call screen so that the user will be able to promptly tell the operator the current location of the vehicle.
        Downloadable Applications*1*3 New applications can be downloaded from the Toyota portal site*9 and installed to the radio and display receiver assembly via a USB device. Using a Bluetooth connected cellular phone, information and update programs necessary for the application are accessible via the content provider of the application.

    4. Rear Seat Entertainment System


      1. The television display assembly is installed on the ceiling. When not in use, the display can be closed, ensuring the driver has good rear visibility.
