REAR SUSPENSION SYSTEM

  1. OUTLINE

    1. A double-wishbone type independent suspension, which consists of an upper control arm, 2 lower suspension arms and a trailing arm, is used.

    2. A forked rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly is used. The shock absorber is positioned between the forks in order to reduce the height of the suspension, providing ample space at the back of the vehicle and allowing for a low floor design.

    3. A digressive type piston valve is used in the shock absorber which optimizes the damping force at very low piston speeds and middle/high piston speeds to achieve excellent shock absorbing performance and a comfortable flat ride.

    4. Through the use of bushes for all joints of the suspension components, high vibration suppression and smooth initial movement of the suspension are realized, contributing to improved ride comfort.
