FRONT SUSPENSION SYSTEM

  1. OUTLINE

    1. A MacPherson strut type independent suspension, which has L-type lower arms, is used.

    2. Through the use of optimal suspension geometry and optimal allocation of components for the front suspension, excellent controllability, vehicle stability and ride comfort have been achieved.

    3. The rigidity of the rubber used in the front suspension support sub-assembly and the spring rate of the front coil spring are optimized to achieve excellent ride comfort.

    4. A digressive type piston valve is used in the shock absorber which optimizes the damping force at very low piston speeds and middle/high piston speeds to achieve excellent shock absorbing performance and a comfortable flat ride.

    5. The diameter of the stabilizer bar and the spring rate are optimized to ensure excellent controllability.
