  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Multi-display Assembly Displays image information received from the radio receiver assembly.
    Remote Touch (Remote Operation Controller Assembly)
    • Sends operation signals to the radio receiver assembly.

    • Vibrates the touchpad to provide feedback according to signals received from the radio receiver assembly.

    Radio Receiver Assembly
    • Plays back audio from each audio source, such as radio, CD and Bluetooth audio.*1

    • Plays back audio from each audio source, such as radio, CD, DVD and Bluetooth audio.*2

    • Sends audio signals from each audio source to the speakers.*1

    • Sends audio signals from each audio source to the stereo component amplifier assembly.*2

    • Controls the audio system based on processed hand-writing input signals*3 or operation signals using the touchpad of the remote touch (remote operation controller assembly).

    • Controls the audio system and multi-display based on the signal received from the remote touch (remote operation controller assembly), and sends the feedback signal to the remote touch (remote operation controller assembly).

    • Sends a startup signal to the navigation ECU when the audio system started.*4

    • Sends the status information of each audio source and hands-free system to the combination meter assembly.

    • Receives operation signals from the combination meter assembly to change the audio source, make a call or take a call based on the audio source and hands-free system settings set on the multi-information display.

    • Sends microphone voice signals to the navigation ECU.*4

    • Is equipped with a 2.4 GHz frequency band wireless LAN and can communicate with a wireless clients via Wi-Fi.*5

    • Is equipped with a 2.4 GHz frequency band wireless LAN and can communicate with a Miracast device via Wi-Fi (P2P mode).*6

    • Sends and receives content information from the application server through a Bluetooth connected smartphone.*7

    • Using the built-in application player, operates and displays applications that are installed on the Bluetooth connected smartphone.*7

    • When utilizing audio content, outputs the sound from applications to the stereo component amplifier assembly.*7

    • Is equipped with an application player to run applications.*7

    No. 1 Amplifier Antenna Assembly Amplifies radio broadcasting signals from the radio antenna and sends them to the radio receiver assembly.
    Digital Audio Broadcasting Antenna Assembly*10 Amplifies DAB signals from the DAB antenna and sends them to the radio receiver assembly.

    Navigation Antenna Assembly*11


    • GPS Antenna

    Receives signals from GPS satellites and transmits these signals to the radio receiver assembly*12 or navigation ECU*4.
    Steering Pad Switch Assembly Sends operation signals from switches such as the volume switch, mode switch, seek switch, telephone switch and voice switch, to the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.
    Spiral Cable with Sensor Sub-assembly Sends operation signals from the steering pad switch assembly to the radio receiver assembly.
    Map Light Assembly Houses the manual (SOS) switch.*13
    Telephone Microphone Assembly
    • Receives the user's voice through the microphone module.

    • Recognizes speech during voice recognition system operation and sends the audio signal to the radio receiver assembly.

    No. 1 Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly
    • Sends audio signals to the radio receiver assembly when an auxiliary device is connected.

    • Communicates with the radio receiver assembly via a USB communication line when a USB memory device, portable audio player (USB type) or Apple product is connected.

    • By connecting a smartphone with Lexus Enform apps installed via a USB cable, communicates with the radio receiver assembly via a USB communication line.*7

    Combination Meter Assembly
    • Sends vehicle speed signals to the radio receiver assembly, stereo component amplifier assembly*2, telematics transceiver (data communication module)*13 and navigation ECU*4.

    • Displays the status information of each audio source and hands-free system which is received from the radio receiver assembly on the multi-information display.

    • Sends operation signals to the radio receiver when the audio source and hands-free system settings are set on the multi-information display.

    Stereo Component Amplifier Assembly*2 Amplifies audio signals sent from the radio receiver assembly and sends them to the speakers.
    Telematics Transceiver (Data Communication Module)*13 Sends a part of audio signals sent from the radio receiver assembly to the front No. 2 speaker assembly RH.
