  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Receives various signals and turns off the exterior lights.

    Brake Actuator Assembly


    • Skid Control ECU

    Transmits the vehicle speed signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly Outputs a light control signal and transmits it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Front Door Courtesy Light Switch Assembly (LH*1/RH*2) Detects whether a door is open or closed and transmits a signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Semiconductor PWR Integration ECU Shuts down power to the headlights*4 and front fog lights*3.
    Headlight Light Control ECU Sub-assembly LH/RH*5 Shuts down power to the headlights and clearance lights.

    Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly


    • TAIL Relay

    Shuts down power to the taillights, clearance lights*4 and license plate lights.

    *4: Models with single beam headlight

    *5: Models with triple beam headlight

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. The light auto turn-off system operates as follows:

      Models for Europe and Destination Package for Malaysia
      Function Operation Condition
      Headlight Auto Turn-off

      When all of the following conditions are met, the headlights automatically turn off:


      • The engine switch is turned off.

      • The headlight dimmer switch is in the tail or head position.

      • The vehicle speed is less than 10 km/h (6 mph).

      When all of the following conditions are met, the headlights automatically turn off:


      • The engine switch is turned off.

      • The headlight dimmer switch is in the tail or head position.

      • The driver door is closed and then opened.

      Exterior Light Auto Turn-off

      When both of the following conditions are met, the exterior lights automatically turn off:


      • The engine switch is turned off.

      • The headlight dimmer switch is in the AUTO position.

      • The vehicle speed is less than 10 km/h (6 mph).

      When all of the following conditions are met, the headlights automatically turn off:


      • The engine switch is turned off.

      • The headlight dimmer switch is in the AUTO position.

      • The driver door is closed and then opened.

      When both of the following conditions are met, the exterior lights automatically turn off:


      • The engine switch is turned to on (ACC) or off.

      • The driver door is closed and then opened.
