LIGHTING SYSTEM


  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU) Receives various signals and illuminates the daytime running lights.
    Semiconductor PWR Integration ECU*1 Supplies power to the daytime running lights.
    Headlight Light Control ECU Sub-assembly LH/RH*2 Supplies power to the daytime running lights.

    Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly


    • Light Control Switch

    		 Outputs a light control switch position signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly Receives the ignition signal and transmits it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
    Parking Brake Switch Assembly Outputs a parking brake operation signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

    *1: Models with single beam headlight

    *2: Models with triple beam headlight

  2. SYSTEM CONTROL


    1. Operating Condition


      1. The daytime running lights illuminate when the following conditions are met.


        • The engine switch is on (IG).

        • An engine speed signal is input (engine is running).

        • The headlight dimmer switch assembly is in the off or AUTO position (and the taillights are not turned on via the automatic light control system).

        • The parking brake switch assembly is off.
