LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM


  1. OPERATION


    1. The location of an obstacle and the approximate distance between the vehicle and the obstacle are displayed on the multi-information display.

    2. The number of lines shown on the display changes based on the actual distance and flashes when the distance is short.

    3. Clearance Sonar System Malfunction Indication Display


      1. If an ultrasonic sensor circuit malfunction is detected, the master warning light illuminates and a warning message is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly.

      2. If there is snow or ice on an ultrasonic sensor and it is judged to be frozen, the master warning light in the combination meter assembly illuminates and a warning message is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly.

      3. When the clearance sonar system is on and a communication malfunction is detected between the combination meter assembly and the clearance warning ECU assembly, the master warning light in the combination meter assembly illuminates and a warning message is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly.
