      1. The ATF pressure switch is located in the output fluid passage of the shift solenoid valve SL1, and it is turned on/off in accordance with the shift solenoid valve output fluid pressure.

      2. When the shift solenoid valve SL1 malfunctions, the ECM determines the appropriate fail-safe operation to be actuated in accordance with the on/off signals from the ATF pressure switch.
