ENGINE UNIT

  1. CONSTRUCTION

    1. The cylinder block and the areas of the stiffening crankcase assembly which connect to the transaxle have been reinforced to reduce vibration and noise which enter the cabin.

    2. Weight reduction has been achieved while maintaining the low vibration level by optimizing the shape of the reinforcement ribs.

    3. The stiffening crankcase assembly uses a structure where the oil filter and oil cooler can be directly installed to improve weight reduction and to ensure reliability.

    4. A dedicated passage is provided to have engine oil supplied to the cylinder head collected in the oil pan sub-assembly. As a result, oil return performance is ensured by preventing oil agitation by the crankshaft.
