OUTLINE
Lightweight and Highly Rigid Body
High-strength steel and ultra high-strength steel are used in order to achieve excellent body rigidity and a lightweight body.
Safety Features
The impact absorbing structure minimizes cabin deformation by effectively helping to absorb the impact energy in the event of a front, side or rear collision. This provides high performance occupant protection.
Rust-resistant Body
Rust-resistant performance is enhanced by the extensive use of anti-corrosion sheet steel, as well as by an anticorrosion treatment that includes the application of anti-rust wax, sealer and anti-chipping paint to the easily corroded parts such as the hood and fender.
Low Vibration and Low Noise Body
Effective application of vibration damping and noise suppressant materials reduces engine, wind and road noise.
Aerodynamics
Various types of airflow routing parts that control airflow are provided under the floor, and an undercover is provided to make the under-floor area flat in order to ensure excellent aerodynamic performance.

Front and Side Design
The characteristic NX design theme, which originates in the spindle-shaped body, is expressed through the three-dimensional form that runs from the hard spindle grille to the doors through the engine hood.
The cross-sectional peak of the front bumper and the L-shaped light are positioned along a straight line towards the wheel flare, expressing the strength and sharp advancement of the protruding wheel flare (A in illustration).
The shape of the rocker under the door runs to the lower edge of the spindle grille, expressing a dynamic and low center of gravity (B in illustration).
The side grille (radiator grille garnish) is separated from the bumper to achieve a unique design. Also, the side grille functions as an air intake to provide superior driving stability (A in illustration).
The fin-shaped bumper corners support the bottom corners of the trapezoid shape that originates from the fender tops, emphasizing a good stance (B in illustration).

The entire circumference of the spindle shape is surrounded by the same color as the bumper and satin plated molding, emphasizing the strong design of the spindle grille (A in illustration).
The radiator grille is surrounded by outer panels with a sense of thickness and thin satin plated molding and used together with smoke-plated molding (integrated with the SUV under guard below), emphasizing an "Urban Sports Gear" nature.
The inside of the radiator grille consists of layered blocks that repeat the spindle motif, emphasizing a sense of three-dimensionality and the fact that it is part of the Lexus SUV family (B in illustration).

The horizontal bars of the radiator grille visually extend the surface of the engine hood, expressing refined aerodynamic performance and a strong protruding feel (A in illustration).
The horizontal bars of the radiator grille are used together with vertically flowing lines that change near the Lexus emblem to emphasize a sense of luxury (B in illustration).

Rear Design
The character line of the back door with the spindle motif is supported by the rear bumper to emphasize a stable stance that extends towards the tires (A in illustration).
The L-shaped satin plated molding (rear bumper retainer lower) overlaps with the trapezoidal fin at the center of the rear bumper, expressing horizontal continuity (B in illustration).
The high trapezoidal fin position emphasizes the sense of agility provided by the raised rear end and the sense of tightness provided by the vertically-compressed rear (C in illustration).
The satin plated molding (rear bumper retainer lower) and the under guard positioned below the trapezoidal fin use the same finish as the front radiator grille, achieving a sense of unity with the front design (C in illustration).
34. The bumper corners, which express a solid stance, are emphasized by the slit-shaped bezel (rear bumper lower side retainer) and satin plated molding (rear bumper retainer lower) (B in illustration).

The L-shaped taillight lenses are given a three-dimensional structure that, together with black garnish, protrudes far from the body while simultaneously piercing the center mass of the back door (A in illustration).
The protruding edges of the black garnish that connects to the rear bumper character line emphasize the stable stance as if the tires are firmly holding onto the ground (A in illustration).
F SPORT
The spindle-shaped radiator grille that boldly opens downwards (A in illustration) and the lower bumper that connects to the side rockers (B in illustration) emphasize a low center of gravity and a sense of wideness in pursuit of sportiness.
The lower bumper ornamentation (front bumper guard No. 2) incorporates height differences and high-intensity silver paint and is shaped to run to the sides.

The lower edge of the radiator grille frame is connected to the lower bumper to provide a sense of originality while simultaneously emphasizing that the vehicle is part of the Lexus SUV family (A in illustration).
The front fascia is tightly designed so that the radiator grille garnish, which uses the same F-shaped mesh as the radiator grille, is tucked into the side of the bumper.

The radiator grille frame uses the same jet-black plated finish that is used for other F series vehicles, achieving a sense of unity with the F series and F-SPORT series (A in illustration).
The vertically flowing characteristic of the F series radiator grille (B in illustration) is continued in a new F-shaped mesh pattern that changes three-dimensionally as it vertically weaves back and forth (C in illustration).
The rear bumper plated molding (rear bumper retainer lower) uses the same jet-black plated finish as the front radiator grille. In addition, the rear bumper lower side retainer uses an F-shaped mesh to achieve a sense of unity with the front design.
