MIRROR SYSTEM

  1. SYSTEM CONTROL

    1. Automatic Glare-resistant Electrochromic (EC) Dimming Function (Models with Automatic Glare-resistant Electrochromic (EC) Dimming Function)

      1. This function operates when both of the following conditions are met:

        • The AUTO switch of the inner rear view mirror assembly is pushed to select AUTO mode (when the power switch is turned from off to on (IG), this system defaults to AUTO mode).

        • The inner rear view mirror assembly detects a large difference in the brightness of the surroundings and the headlights of a following car.

    2. Automatic Retractable Function

      1. This function operates when both of the following conditions are met:

        • This function has been enabled using the AUTO switch.

        • The doors are locked or unlocked using the entry function, wireless function or key-linked function.

    3. Reverse-linked Function (Models with Reverse-linked Function)

      1. This function operates when all of the following conditions are met:

        • The power switch is on (IG).

        • Either the R or L position of the right/left selector switch has been selected.

        • The shift lever is moved to R.

    4. Memory System (Models with Position Memory Function)

      1. The mirror surface position memory function operates when any of the following conditions is met:

        • The seat memory switch is operated with the power switch on (IG), the shift lever in P and the mirror position stored in the memory system.

        • The seat memory switch is operated within approximately 180 seconds of opening the driver side door with the power switch off and the mirror position stored in the memory system.

        • The seat memory switch is operated within approximately 60 seconds of closing the driver side door with the power switch off and the mirror position stored in the memory system.

        • With the power switch off, the driver door closed and the key ID registration of the memory call function complete, the doors are unlocked using the entry and start system or wireless door unlock function and then the driver door is opened.

  2. FUNCTION

    1. The outer rear view mirrors have the following functions:

      Function Outline
Electric Remote Mirrors Remote Control Function The adjustment axis of the mirror surface of the electric remote mirrors can be controlled by using the outer mirror switch assembly.
Manual Retractable Function This function retracts and returns the outer rear view mirrors when the auto and retract switch (outer mirror switch assembly) is operated.
Automatic Retractable Function This function automatically synchronizes retracting and returning the outside rear view mirrors with locking and unlocking the doors using the entry function, wireless function or key-linked function.
Reverse-linked Function*1 This function tilts the mirror surface downward to improve visibility when reversing. If the mirror surface is adjusted via the outer mirror switch assembly while the reverse-linked function is operating, the new mirror position is stored as the default reverse-linked mirror position.
Automatic Glare-resistant Electrochromic (EC) Dimming Function*2 During nighttime driving, if a large difference in intensity exists between the surrounding light and the light reflected off the inner rear view mirror assembly from the headlights of a following car, the automatic glare-resistant Electrochromic (EC) dimming function automatically reduces the reflection rate of the inner and outer rear view mirrors and thus dampens the glare from the mirrors.
Memory System*3 The memory system can store the driver seat, outer rear view mirror and tilt and telescopic steering positions. Up to 3 memory positions can be stored in the system memory and recalled.
