  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. The motor speed reduction planetary gear unit consists of a sun gear, pinion gear, carrier and ring gear.

    2. MG2 is connected to the sun gear. Motive force is transmitted to the ring gear via the pinion gear through the carrier fixed to the transaxle case to reduce the MG2 rotation and increase the drive torque transmitted to the front wheels. Conversely, the rotation transmitted from the front wheels increases and drives MG2 at high rotation.
