HYBRID BATTERY SYSTEM


  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. The HV battery assembly consists of 2 HV battery module groups, battery voltage sensor, hybrid battery junction block assembly, HV battery temperature sensors, 2 HV battery cooling blower assemblies and service plug grip.

    2. The HV battery module groups are split into two parts with the battery voltage sensor, hybrid battery junction block assembly and service plug grip positioned in the center part, making installation in the dead space under the rear seats possible and ensuring high space efficiency while also achieving a superior maintenance structure.

    3. A sealed nickel metal hydride (Ni-MH) type HV battery module is used.

    4. The HV battery module groups are split into 2 separate groups inside the battery case.

    5. The HV battery module groups are composed of a HV battery module group RH and a HV battery module group LH. The HV battery module group RH consists of 18 modules. The HV battery module group LH consists of 16 modules.

    6. The HV battery module groups consist of 34 modules that are connected in series by a bus bar module. Furthermore, the connection between cells is made at 2 locations in order to reduce internal resistance and improve efficiency.

    7. The HV battery modules are each made up of 6 cells. 1 cell is 1.2 V. The HV battery has a total of 204 cells (6 cells x 34 modules) and a nominal voltage of 244.8 V (1.2 V x 204 cells).

    8. Metal is used for the material of the module cases to achieve enhanced cooling performance and compact construction.
